Winterizing a Johnson Outboard

I have a 1996 Johnson 130Hp outboard. I am use to winterizing older engines that use pre-mix gas/oil. I was told that with these newer engines, you should not run the engine dry of fuel. Doing so could hurt the engine by not providing adaquate oil to the cylinders. What is the proper way to winterize these engines.

Thank you in advance.
