Question Honda 50 hp sputters at full throttle

Hello all. I am new to this forum and boating. My question is that a 16' runabout with a 2003 50hp 4 stroke I am thinking of buying (first boat) sputters when put to full throttle. The engine runs fine up until that point 3500 RPM. My knowledge in this area is limited but could it be a fuel/ fuel line problem? I haven't purchased, waiting to hear from him after he looks at it more closely. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

sounds more like a bad plug,or the prime bulb may be getting weak.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked out everything myself and "boating buddies" could think of that would not require any serious investment, of time and money, and it still sputtered at full throttle. So, I gave it a miss and am still on the look out for something similar.

Thanks again
