trouble with transom

I have a 1978 18ft starcraft alluminum v-hull, 80hp merc.
the transom wood is rotten and needs replaced. It looks like it is easy enough to fix but I don't know how to take it apart to replace.
thought I would search for info before trying....I don't want to end up causeing more problems for myself.

Most of the time the transom boards are put on just how it looks. The thru bolts and epoxy. Sometimes just the thru bolts. If it is epoxy'd on, don't get to vigorous trying to pry them off. take what you can get, then go at it with a very thin chisel (like a putty knife) and a sander, too much bending and pulling can cause cracks and tears in places you don't want them.
