Is a Spot On GPS Screen Significant?
I purchased a Garmin 330 GPS for my auto less than a month ago and noted a small (what looks like a water spot on the LCD screen today). It works well and I have no other problem with it and wonder if this spot is significant and should I send it in for warrenty repair? Will it spread? Thanks to all you fine folks that take the time to answer our novice questions!

If it is just one bad pixel then it will look like a tiny square dot with well defined edges that isn't the right color. The screen will work fine with a few of these, but they can get annoying depending on where they are on the screen. If there is more then one pixel out in the same area or you can’t make out the individual pixels in that area you could have a bigger problem that may spread. Eitherway if it is only a month old I’d send it in for repair. You maybe able to return it to the store you bought it from for an exchange too. There is no reason living with a broken product.

Thanks for the reply! I bought the gps from Amazon.com and I emailed Garmin and Best Buy but haven't rec'd an answer from those knuckleheads. I think I'll contact Amazon and see what they say. Thanks- by the way, the spot on the screen doesn't look square, it's more like a water drop-tried to clean it off but can't clean off what's inside. Thanks again!
