Volvo-Penta engine & duoprop winterization

I have a 84' Bayliner with a 95' V-8 engine and duoprop I/O. I need to winterize. Since you can't use 'muffs' on the I/O what is the best way to winterize this engine and I/O? Thank you for all suggestions.

All marine inboards and inboard/outboards are essentially the same. An automobile engine, modified for marine use - and, in your case, an outdrive.

There is a great thread on winterizing your boat at the head of this forum.. Follow it, with minor modifications to suit your needs. By the way - using "muffs" is not part of the winterizing process.

Essentially, you want to empty your engine of water (drain plugs), - after you stabilize your gasoline tanks, fog your engine/carburator system, and lube your moving parts (linkage, etc.).

If you go through that post, and have any more specific questions, feel free to continue this thread.
