Boat Dash Board

I was trying to install a new depth finder but accidentally shorted the whole dash board. All inline and dash mounted fuses appear to be intact but still no power. Is there another item that prevents the distribution of power from the battery to the dash?

Thanks

Do you still have power to the rest of the boat? Some boats have various circuit breakers for different electrical systems separate from the fuse block. You may have to find a schematic of your particular boat model for details. If you can't get one... you may have to start backtracking from the fuse block with a circuit tester to find the problem.

There are two batteries. One batteries for the outboard and the other for the electronics. Outboard seems to be fine. All the electronics have been knocked out but the fuses in the fuse block look fine. Can't seem to find a main power supply leading to the block where something tripped/blew. There is a power recharge block. Would than have a reset or something similar?

Thanks for your help!

Now you're at a point where I'd have to see it to try to help.... Your main fuse block should have a heavy gauge wire leading to it from the ignition switch.... it should be "hot" when the switch is turned on.... Start at the switch... and work your way to the fuse block... then onward till you find out where the power stops....

Fixed! An unidentifiable fuse was found near the battery that was was blown.

Thanks
