boat stereo blown fuse

the stereo on my boat blows a fuse when volume is turned up to level 24. below this level the unit seems to work fine. as soon as I turn the volume past level 23 the fuse blows. where should I start troubleshooting this problem.

Thanks Steve

I would check with the manufacture to see what the fuse rating should be. If it has a built in amp then you may just be overloading it when turning it up.

How many speakers are there? are connected in series or parallel? if parallel and less than 4 ohms you will hurt something or blow a fuse
