low idle on a Volvo Penta

I have a low idle problem. For good fishing, I need to idle around 650-750. Anything less than 900RPM's makes the engine sound rough and stalling occurs.
The engine is a 350 chevy volvo penta AQ211A on a 1989 Wellcraft Coastal

Your 1989 engine is probably carburated - but possibly fuel injected... If carburated - you should work on your idle mixture screws on the carb to get a smooth idle at your desired RPM... Not hard to do.. but takes a bit of adjustment to get right. Lemme know what version you've got and I'll try to assist if I can...
