Boat flooring repair for 1973 Westwind

I have a 1973 Westwind, it is 16 Feet long, and I will need to repair or replace the flooring in it. It currently seems to be seperarting from the hull in some areas, and has some dry rot and cracks in it. What is the best way to do this??

You're in for a good time... Replacing a floor isn't difficult, but it is time consuming and hard work.

The basics include:

Getting the hull stable and supported thoroughly on a trailer with enough supports to keep the hull from flexing during the process..

Removing the old floor - then assessing the structural stringers for their condition... and replacing if necessary.

Installing the new floor after sealing it with polyester resin/mat - ensuring it is bonded to the hull/stringer assembly.

Recarpeting - replacing seats/engine covers/etc.... and go boating.
