Seadoo SPX rotor plate timing how?

I have a 1996 Seadoo SPX jet ski. I need to know how to time the rotor plate to the engine. First one I have seen with this plate most have reed valves. This is the two carb. Rotax engine with white paint.

No one knows? This also is called the rotory valve. It is located in the air intake of the engine. It needs to be timed to the engine so it will open and close the intake ports at the correct time.

I found something on eBay that says it's for timing the rotory valve. I t looks like a plastic degree wheel.

It has been awhile, but there should be a mark on the rotary valve, that corresponds with the front cyl. being at top dead center.
