Question 2000 Sea Doo GTI....MPEM problems

I have a 2000 Sea Doo GTI. My MPEM is giving me problems. It keeps blowing the 5 amp fuse. There is no spark when starting. I want to see if I can repair myself before I go out and buy a new one. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Disconnect all your wiring connections to the MPEM and thorough clean them. Inspect the connectors as well. From what I've been reading, a few diodes on the MPEM could be the problem.

Most people had to fork out the $$ and get a new one.

I have never had good luck trying to fix ecu's but if it is already bad you can't break it worse so give it a try.

Sometimes you can see the bad or burnt component. Other times it's a shot in the dark.

Good luck
