Repairing Stress Cracks

Does anybody have any good tips for repairing stress cracks on an old fiberglass boat?
I have an 18' Open Bow that has some stress cracks above the waterline.

Here a couple of links that should help. Not sure what you mean by “stress cracks”. I think the links will cover the subject well.

From my experience I suggest you use epoxy resin in the repair and clean the repair area thoroughly with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK).

If the cracks are just in the gell cooat you must V out the crack going into but not through the fiberglass. Fill the glass with a polyester resin I like to use some 1/8" fiberglass mixed in for filler and strength. Sand it smooth and recover with gellcoat, kits available at most boat repair shops or dealers.

If you use epoxy you must use paint and not gellcoat but the process is the same.
