Way to fix common ign. failure in Eska, Sears air-cooled outboards??
Don't know if it's better to ask this here or in the small engine section?
The air-cooled low-hp outboards once made by Eska and sold at Sears, Wards, etc have a common failure of the solidstate ignition assembly and no replacement parts have been available for years. I'm pretty sure I've read that these CAN be repaired but I've never run across a description.
Anybody know the way?
