yamaha 75hp trim/tilt

How do I raise the motor without power to get to the trim motor?

If its anything like my OMC, there should be an emergency release valve somewhere on the transom bracket. I don't know if its advised, but if you opened that screw and used a ratchet strap to a roof rafter or something you could raise it up, but you would have to take your time and go really slow as the trim range is slower moving than the tilt range. Don't quote me on that though.

Is the Tilt/Trim not working at all? It could be a bad relay - I'd guess it to be under the engine cover. Sometimes, if these are the culprits anyway.. you can tap on the relays with a screwdriver handle to get them to engage and raise it up. I've had to do this in the past.
