I cut out the old splashwell drains with a die grinder, at some point I need to replace them. I see brass, plastic, and aluminum replacements. It looks like the aluminum and brass ones take a kit to install them, somehow they crimp over. Do the plastic ones glue in, is there a way to crimp in the metal ones without having to buy some kit?

The crimping tool is about $40 and worth it if you ask me, I tried the plastic ones and it was a pain and didn't fit well.

You could also talk to your local dealer or shop and ask if they will either rent you their tool or install them for you if you have it all ready.
