Need a help, please.

I have a GameFisher 3.0 Automatic Drive small autboard. Model# 298-586191. The recoil starter seems to be jammed - it's very hard, next to impossible to pool the rope in the starting procedure. By the way, in the previous boating season I did not have this problem at all. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?

Welcome to the forums.

The centrifugal clutch may be stuck in gear. That would make it tougher to start because you're turning the prop when you're pulling the starter cord.

You'll have to take it apart to see what's jamming it. Also check the recoil for foreign objects. A small critter could have crawled up in there and got stuck.
