I have a 1989 gray OMC outdrive. What can I coat my outdrive with to keep the same color and to protect it from marine growth?

Anti fouling paint for aluminum differs from bottom paint.
It is a Tin based formula that wont attack the alum and cause corrosion.
Interlux makes a kit that has the primer and paint.
It works real good and sticks!
Its not pretty because its pink primer shows through quick and you have to brush it on.
California regulates who may spray anti fouling paints.
Check in your area for regulations.
