I fear my trusty old '67 Starcraft may need a new transom. She is a little wiggly in the stern when I push on the Merc 115. Everything else is in great shape for an old-timer, (the boat's not bad either) so she is certainly worth fixing. Has anyone ever attempted this, and do I need to un-rivet the aluminum stern?

I would like to hear how you solved the problem.
Did you reincorce it , add some wood?
lets get this topic moving.
my boat has an intermittent reverse.
I think the dog is worn out.
I put a new cable in and that didnt help.
