My husband was recently given a sears gamefisher 3.0 from his grandfather & he would like to know if it's air or liquid cooled & if it takes a gear lube or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont remember any of those being water cooled.
look just under the cowling in the back by the spark
plug. Does the block have a kid of "finned" look
to it. If it does thats the air cooling system.
If its really smooth then it must be water cooled.
Yes there is oil in the lower unit. find the large flat
head screws on the bottom part of the gearcase. Lay the
motor on its side and fill it up with 90wt oil.
dont forget to put 50to1 oil in the gas too.
