trim

hi i have a 99 tracker boat with a 40 horsepower mercury engine and having some problems with the trim it will always go up but sometimes will not go down unless you mess with the switch alot, it is getting power to the hydraulic motor and was just wondering if they are servicable or do i have to replace the whole pump and motor unit.

They are serviceable, electrically and hydraulically.
You might have to separate the clamp bracket
to get at it. But once its on the bench its a breeze.
