    Comuter Technician and Business Owner
Dad brought home a computer one day when I was 8 years old. He knew nothing about computers and neither did I. The preacher at our church was a Computer guru and owned his own business which he attended to during the week. We would invite him and his family over for lunch after church services and his son and I would tinker around on my computer. It wasn't new, by any means, but it might as well be. It was an IBM 8088 XT. It had a 4.3 Mhz Processor, and 128 K onboard RAM, a 40 MB HDD, a 5 1/2" floppy drive, and a CGA monitor. I loved it. The preachers son knew all the DOS commands and taught me DOS 3.3. After a few weeks I started hanging out at his house and learning my way around Windows 3.11 for Workgroups and Dos 6.22. After a while of that I went to the library and got books on BASIC programming and learned to do most anything I wanted to do in both GW and Q Basic languages. I upgraded computers and then parts, and computers again...now, about 23 years later, my passion for computers has not ceased and I make money doing it!!!
