Talking make 13.5 hp robin subaru faster

just bought a go cart with a 13.5 hp engine. Just was wondering how I could get better low end power without spending a whole lot of money. Thanks for any input.

The cheapest and easiest way to get better low end performance is to change your chain sprockets. You want a greater reduction for better acceleration so put a smaller sprocket on the engine OR a bigger one on the axel. The sproket on your engine is probably pretty small, so just going one tooth smaller will have a big effect. The sprocket on the axel is probably larger so you will have to make a bigger change (several teeth) to see much difference.

Here is a good website to look at:
http://www.4cycle.com/

There are many advertisers that sell all sorts parts. Most of the website relates to racing karts, but some of the retailers sell parts for yard carts (I assume you have a yard cart). If you want to change the sprocket size on the engine you may have to replace the whole clutch.

By the way, we call our house pu'u uli auku'u.
