Iím looking ideas for making an adjustable seat for an off road go-cart so that both my children and I can comfortably reach the pedals.

depending on how young your children are//if they are young children then it would be alot of space between the engine and the seat if it is all the way forward for the kids. just a suggestion/advice/tip/pointer

I made a fixed seat into an adjustable seat by building a sliding seat frame out of 1" square tubing, which slides inside of 1.5" square tubing. I drilled adjusting holes through both pieces of tubing, and then used pins to fix the seat at any desired position.

Good luck with your project,

Rick
