2005 Fxst

I just bought a new Softail Standard and want to know if removing the pipe baffles will take away from the performance of the bike. I have heard you can buy a washer to make up for the loss of back pressure. Also it is fuel injected, is this going to be effected?

I say if you bought a Harley for the speed, you should have bought a VRSC. Loud pipes saves lives! Actually, back pressure has little effect on four-stroke engines...two-strokers are a different story. Go ahead, remove 'em and set aside an account for the traffic tickets.

Right !!!

I appreciate the reply. I am sorry to have confussed you about the perfromance question. I was worried more about any negetive reactions from the engine, who cares if you go fast its more about going right? Also thanks for refering me to the VRSC.
