clear coat on flat black vs. glossy black

ok, today i painted my rims on the below stated 4-wheeler a flat black rust-oleum. i have recently painted my front and back rack a glossy black rust-oleum paint. i would like to match my rims with my racks (haha). would a clear coat on top of the flat black paint work in making the paint glossier like my racks or would i be better off just recoating with a glossy black?

Edit: the color of the plastic fenders is a smoky gray.

Clear coating the flat black would make it look glossier but only to a certain extent. Just going back through and painting it a glossy black would make them look the same and make ur rack and ur rims match. (haha)
