Brakes

Hi, I have a Eton Viper 90 atv where the front brakes have failed which I believe are Front dual mechanical drum brakes and I was wondering if there is a guide for replacing or repairing them as well as Rear hydraulic disc brake. I'm hoping that it is not to difficult as I am new to repairing brakes.

thanks

If you are new to repairing brakes, I wouldnt undertake this. Take it to a dealer.

Drum brakes are moderatly difficult to work on, because th drum setup is an intricate setup of metal plates and springs that need to fit together just right. Disc brakes are a bit easier to work on. As for the rear disk setup, why are you replacing them? Your best bet would probably be to contact to company and order the replacement brakes for your front wheels.

But first, What is wrong? Take the front wheels off and inspect the shoes... are they worn down to the backing? is something bound up?
