make sure when its idling, its not barely catching. if you rev it while sitting there braking....it'll catch, slip, cause alot of heat and burn whatever oil got on it, probablly the crank seal.....make sure its not leaking alot.... if it is, just replace the seal, don't use stop leak. it should be just fine though, the clutch is simple, if it lasts a couple years. thats a good life for a cheap clutch. that bluish smoke is oil by the way.

what are you talking about here... if its a bluish smoke from the motor, then yeah its burning oil, tons of causes for this.

if its smoke from your clutch, your clutch is slipping. Either the clutch isnt big enough for that motor or the friction lining is shot. Yes its normal to have a bit of play in a clutch like that. The bushing for the drum might be goin, but its not exactly a precision mechanism so its not really a big deal.

Holy Smokes!

Sounds like you have over-filled your engine oil to me. It happened to me once, not a pretty sight when you are out in the forest and there is a cloud coming out the back of your cart, ESPECIALLY when your wife is driving back from a ride! This will not really hurt your engine, but you better get some new plugs pretty quick like and drain some of that oil out.

not to sound bad.... but overfilling a splash lubed engine is bad to a extent, a little over, won't hurt, half a quart or more, the breather will be pumping oil into the carb, and it won't get a good splash of oil, now since a clutch is on the crank, could have a crank seal leaking oil onto the clutch, when starting and stopping, the clutch heats up enough to burn the oil. if its out of the exhaust, yes probablly overfilled.... just drain it to the right level, the plugs may get a little oily, but no need for a new one, just clean it, gap it, and go. also if your using a multi visc conventional oil, expect more oil consumption over a straight hd-30 weight, unless your using a group 4 and above synthetic multi visc.
