Red face 93 yamaha G9 Gas golf cart

Help! My cart won't start. I do not have a service manual and would like to fix it. Key on depress gass pedal and nothing happens. Battery is good. Can anyone give me a clue as to whats in the starting cicuit? Thanks. tclark

Hi, I don't know the cart you have but the starting circuit should be a basic one. Key, starter relay and starter motor. Follow the large wire from the starter motor to the starter relay. The relay may be mounted on the starter. There will be another large wire from the relay to the battery {hot all the time} There will be a small wire from your key switch to the relay. When you turn the key to the start position power should trip the relay and connect the battery side of the relay to the starter side of the relay. Unhook the starter and put power to it to see if the starter motor is ok. Turn the key to start and make sure you have power to the relay from the small wire from the key. For more help go to http://mypage.direct.ca/k/kdomries/start.html
Hope this helps, Jeff Z.
