need help please craftsman snowblower

Its a craftsman model 536.882500 10" elec start, problem is that gas started coming out of the carb. a small hole at top of carb so i looked into it and it seems even with the thing shut off gas keeps flowing to carb and all over.

It's your float valve. You'll need to remove the carburetor bowl and lift lightly on the float see if that shuts off the flow of fuel. If it does replace the float. Normally you would replace both the float and float valve since you have it apart and the cost isn't that much.

The reason it seems to continue flowing with the fuel shut off is the fuel in the line is continuing to bleed out. Eventually it would stop.

Hope this helps,

Bob

Slam Craftsman Snowblower leaking gas

It definately sounds like it time for a quick rebuild kit, not very exspensive, you can purchase online, or through Sears repair. It will come with a new float needle, pin, o ring, power value, etc. What type of engine is on your machine? Tecumseh, Briggs ? You can go to their websites and get all tech. data needed, just have your engine model #, and serial #.. Be sure to buy a can of carb. cleaner, give it a good cleaning, inside and out.. Lube all linkages after your done..
