Two motors on one go kart
i have a home built go cart that a buddie and i made. It runs fine and is a blast to drive but i want more power. Right now i have one 5.5 hp tecumseh motor on the back left hand side powering just that tire and i want to put another one on the other tire but i dont know how i can get it to spin clockwise since i would have to flip it, any ideas on how i can put two motors on my go kart without getting a live axle? Also if i MUST have a live axle, where can i get a kit for cheap for one?

If you want to put dual engines on a gokart you will have to have a live axle.
This will get expensive live axle, bearings for axle, bearing mounts, gear hubs, gears, and keyed wheels. No such thing as a cheap kit.

Do a search ( gokart parts ) there are several places. I do'nt know about about a good price though. Just have to shop around. You will get an idea on price of parts with a search.

There are axles, bearings and hubs on ebay usually for decent prices. Rims, brake kits and sprockets are also sold there, but the prices aren't that great. Northern Tool also sells kart items for a fair price.
