Motorbike - front tyre wear
On my bike, a 2nd-hand ZX-7r, I have noticed that whilst getting very, very close to the edge of the rear tyre, the wear on the front indicates nowhere near as close to the edge. I was under the impression they should be roughly equal.
Anyone got a clue as to wether or not this is true, and if it is then what the problem is and how to rectify it please?

If I'm understanding your question, you have the impression the front and rear tire on your bike should be showing about the same amount of wear? But I get the impression the rear is wearing faster than the front?
That would be normal on a smaller bike, since the weight of the rider is primarily on the rear. There can be alignment problems which can accelerate the wear, but those usually create adverse handling in the bike and are very noticeable.
Because of different engineering philosophies there may be a difference in the two tires, such as compound and tread design. Either would also affect how the tires wear.
Hope this helps,
Bob
