Air gap on coil to flywheel - .010.

Align magnet with coil pickups, insert matchbook cover in the gap, loosen the coil let the magnet pull it down tight, tighten the retaining screws, rotate the flywheel a little and remove the matchbook cover. You are ready to go.

Hope this helps,

Bob

k, thanks, got the gap set. Now it will run on half choke, but as soon as you flip the choke off it idles very high for maybe 1 or 2 sec and then it just dies like its running out of gas so we pulled the carb off and were gonna soak it and clean all the jets and see if we can get it to run right. we think we might have run a tank of bad gas through it. Thats when this all started.

I think you're on the right track. It sounds like a dirty carb issue. After soaking it blow it out with compressed air if you have it handy.

Good luck,

Bob
