2000 Polaris 600 XC DLX 45th Anniversary

The lights keep going dim unexpectedly. Sometimes for a moment or until we stop and mess with wires around battery. Have cleaned wires, checked for wear, etc. Is it the voltage regulator? Does the rectifier have to be changed with voltage regulator?

that happens to both of my friends that have polaris snowmobiles. on both of theirs it was the connection. one froze up and the other wasn't connected properly. normally it would fix itself over time. have you checked your connections? are your tail light and console lights working the same way? if they are then its prolly the regulator
