fan not running on big bear 400 4x4


Changed oil cooler this last winter and I noticed that I never heard the fan running . Well now that it is warmer out I ran it pretty hard & still no fan.Checked the fuses & one was blowen so I moved them around and still no fan.& not another blowen fuse.What do I do next Thanks

First, hot wire the fan directly from the battery.
If it runs, trace the wiring back to the temp sensor. With the engine running, use a volt meter and see if you have voltage at the sensor. No voltage -re check fuses. Have voltage, replace sensor.

If the fan doesn't run when hot wired, check and clean the fan ground connection. Still doesn't run - probably burned out motor.

Some sensors don't turn the fan on until the engine gets really hot. A lot of water cooled M/C's are that way.
