Lightbulb 87 polaris 340 help please

Hey guys I'm having trouble at full throttle it wants to bog out but if I back off and get back on it every now and then it takes off? It's got good lowend power I go 225 and it is very snappy.By the way it is a 340 indy sport 1987.The kid I got it off of had same problem changed fuel lines and rebuilt carbs?haven't pulled plugs yet to see if one cyl. is running more fuel. Thanks for any helpBeer 4U2

It could be in the carbs, but first I would lean toward fuel delivery to the carbs. Probably not a fuel tank venting with the snap back you've described. That could be the fuel pump.

Another possibility would be an airflow restriction in the intake or exhaust.

Lightbulb trying anything

Hey thanks for the info trying some seafoam in tank and running new plugs next trip out. they say to inject some in the carbs while its running to knock and break any guck up.While I'm at it will take off air intake and pipe check flow for blockage.Next will be fuel pump if this dont work. we need more snow less rain in my region. thanks will keep you updated
