1982 cx650, no spark, need help please

I just picked this bike up for free,it needs some work,it has been sitting for 3 years.I would like to see a sprk before I put any money or time into it(I will put some money into it to get a spark).I do know for a fact that the ignition coils are good so where would a person go from there?any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thank You

no spark, check the plug wires, and ends. those are usually molded on for honda coils. if the coils are good and the wires are good you will need a wiring diagram to check for the proper connections to the ignighter. inspect it if it is the old style with the asphault insullation on the back side, you will need to replace it. cost will be about $200

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies

ignighter ?

I have checked and cleaned and reconected with dielectric grease.
I have a manual from Honda, very nice detailed on everything
except has no trouble shooting info at all which brings up next question.
What is the ignighter? It does not mention that in the manual although it does have what they call a spark unit just before the ignition coils if that is what you mean.

Process of elimination, ignition coil, rectifier check good.

Thanks for your time and effort, this bike will run again.

ignighter/spark unit. same thing, different years name change for same object.

if you have power to spark unit , and the ingnition coils check good the plug wires are good? it will have to be spark unit. most honda books are very well written and usually good for trouble shooting.

how come common sense isn't so common?

Spark Unit

All righty then,Spark Units check good.
Narrowing this down,I hope I dont have to check what I think is next cuase it is tough to get to(pulse generator).
Does anybody know if it is likely to be that,Do they malfunction often?
