Question 5hp briggs /go kart motor/thunderkart

Okay i have looked and read everything that i could find here and else where! I got a 2 seater thunderkart/ go kart/ 5hp briggs and stratton motor. {model#136202}[type:1144E1] (ID?970922R). The problem is in the torque converter, I found out how to clean the driver shaft! but nothing about how to remove the {DRIVEN} it is stuck in gunk and doesnt move back and forth freely, im nervous about how to take the spring off plus it does not look as easy as the driver does to remove? PLEASE HELP ??? THANK YOU ahead of time for my :confusion:

I think the driven (on the axle) is an open design so you should be able to clean it without taking it apart. You could try spraying the converter with a garden hose and if that does not work you can try some Simple Green or Purple Power (make sure they are properly dilluted) or spray engine degreaser.

Once you get the driven cleaned out I would take another look at the drive clutch. Usually the problem is with that one.
