how do i build a racing lawnmower

ok, i have this old homelite garden tractor i cant find parts for it anymore even on ebay so i want to make it a racer. it has a 3 speed manual tranny in it and has a upgraded motor swap a 7hp to a 10hp b/s. people say to just swap pullys for bigger ones, i would like to do this and change all the tires and lower it because of the fact i live in a very flat place with the exception of a couple hills. but what tires, pullys and brakes are good for this? and idk what the year is probly early 70's late 60's its called a homelite RM-7E, made by allis chamlers and is very very small...help me

Are you racing for fun or competing in a league with rules? Building something to race around the yard for fun is one thing, competing on a prepared track against other racers is a totally different story.

if it helps i have also heard to take off the governor by the carb, but install 2in pulley and you will have to mod the belt and check the muffler for holes.
