Honda Ranger 300 starter

Hello,

Yesterday my Honda Ranger 300 four wheeler would not start? First I thought it was the battery so I charged it, but it still would not start. I could hear a clicking sound every time I pressed the start button on the handlebar. Therefore, I removed the seat and noticed that the clicking sound is coming from behind the battery at the starter/solenoid area.

Any ideas on the easiest way to remove this item? Also, where can I find a replacement?

Thanks,

Joey

It may not be the solenoid itself, Joey. The clicking is normally associated with low voltage (battery/connections/cables). It can also be a locked starter or bad starter. The latter two are unusual, but still a possibility. I think I would start by taking off the connections and cleaning them. That may do the trick with no expense.
