Craftsman MTS-5500 Tractor - Fuel Pump
I have a Craftsman MTS 5500, 24HP lawn tractor model 917.288420. I need to buy a new fuel pump but am struggling to find the correct one to purchase. Any help is most appreciated.

I typically look up engine parts by the engine model rather than by the machine, so according to searspartsdirect.com that machine uses a Briggs model 445677-0759-B1 engine, which, according to the sources I usually go to uses an 808656 or 597338 fuel pump. Either one should work because it looks like one is the old number and one is the new number, but I had to take a phone call and refill my coffee cup and now forgot which was which.
