I just bought a gas grill and I want to cook a brisket, but I'm confused with the terms direct grilling and indirect grilling, can someone help me?,

Hopefully your grill has two burners, one on each side. Direct grilling is directly over the fire. Indirect is off to one side of the fire. I have done indirect on a charcoal grill by putting all the coals on one side of the grill and the meat on the other. I like to sear the meat over direct fire first to seal in the juices and then cook it off to the side of the fire the rest of the way. Good luck.
