Pig roaster oil tank with propane
I am planning to build a pig roaster using an oil tank (250 gallons), though i want to use propane as my fuel. I want to use 2 pipes as burners that i'm thinking would go to the side so the oil won't fall on it when the pig is roasting. but thats how far i had been, what should i do to support the pig, in the barrel? Any pictures will be great...thanks...

How about expanded metal for the grate. Weld up a frame for around the edges and then expanded metal to actually hold the pic. I like the rolled type (where it is flatter instead of being like a cheese grater) it is easier to clean.
On top of your burner pipes you can run a upside down "V" of sheet metal or angle iron to keep dripping fat off the burner pipe.
I've also seen some cookers with a big flat pan where you can put some water to make steam and keep everything moist.
