leaf blower's lack of power

my homelite backpack blower has been giving me some problems lately. as things were working properly. recently, in the middle of using this machine, it just lost power. the more i accelerate the throttle, the worse it gets (it bogs down). any suggestions? the leaves will be falling shortly. thanks.

Does it run well again after it has cooled off? Try loosening the gas cap while it is dying out and see if it helps. If so, you have a restricted vent in the cap. Otherwise, you may need to do some carb work. There should be 2 screws side by side on the carb. Try backing out the screw with the "H" by it about 1/4 turn.

You could have a clogged fuel filter, pinched or rotten fuel line, crack in line, trashed up carburetor in need of rebuilding, restricted exhaust, etc...

Try the gas cap and adjusting screw, then let us know!
