Could anyone tell me about working on a "Foote" - 3865 transaxle off of a Murray 38" riding lawnmower. I'm a little bit apprehensive about going into it but I've been told that they weren't bad at all. That you should make drawings as you go along. I just wanted an expert opinion.

I've never been into one of those, so I can't say. I just wanted to say that if you are intimidated by all the pieces and remembering how they all go back in, then use a digital camera along each step of the way. Take pictures often and they'll help you get it back together. If you can, find an exploded view type of diagram for the unit. It may prove to be invaluable.

God bless!
