Depending upon what you mean specifically by "it."
If you're refering to the mounting area on the carb body where the securing bolt secures the carb to the engine, a welding adhesive may or may not work. But may be worth a try.
If "it" means any part on the engine, an adhesive will not work. Too many factors like heat, vibrations, etc. will effect the adhesive and the problem will return.
The only likely solution would be to buy a used carb from a local small engine shop or lawn mower repair store. Once you have that you can transfer the internal parts from the broken carb into the replacement carb, if needed.
Be sure to replace all gaskets for any repair or part replacement made. Be careful not overtighten any screws, securing bolts or nuts.

Loctite makes a good metal repair bonding agent, although I can't recall the name of it either one you use let cure well first , at least the recommended time if not more. It'll work fine for what you need.

Hello ringoryan8!
If you use the JB weld, make sure you clean the area well and rough the area up a bit with some 60 grit sandpaper to promote good adhesion to the area. For just a crack in the carb you'll probably be ok to fix it with JB weld. Try to work it into the crack as well as over it.
