MTD Snowblower
Have MTD Yard Machine Snowblower 5HP. (Mod.315-611D000) Engine runs quite well, very smooth but not blowing snow very far lately,any suggestions appreciated. Anyone know where I can find the Manuel for this machine on the net?

You may have a slipping belt which will not allow the machine to blow snow very well. Check it closely for glazing, slipping and wear. Any parts store can supply the CORRECT equivalent Gates belt---Powerflex is the line that is probably best suited for equipment. Give the MTD part # to the store and they will call Gates to get the equivalent part #.
As for a manual, if you e-mail or call MTD, they will probably send it to you at no charge. Ask if they have a PDF file that you cand download free of charge.

That is the correct URL Joe. They have manuals online. Scamper....go to the site, click on service and support at the top of the screen. Then choose your product name and select manuals.

Hey Guys,went to that sight you gave me, manuel not available due to the fact snowblower made prior to 1998 but called the number on that sight and manuel is a whopping $2.95 including delivery,loved it. I am about to check the belts, I'll let you know how I make out. This is great sight, keep up the good work and thanks again.
