Carb Differences
DIYDOORDIE,
Certainly, there are some differences in these as the HP
and CI displacement changes. Bowls, floats, needle/seats,
ALL....SAME, but the differences come in main jetting in the
adjustment screw or bowl nut. Venturi diameter will also
change as HP changes, so this too, is a major difference.
Always go by the model & spec, OR....take the casting model
number off the carb to ID it for correct replacement and
carb kit and other parts.

Very true, just like the Kohler CV12.5 through the CV15 engines. The bore and strokes are all the same. The size of the carburetor venturi and the jetting determine the HP output. An engine can only make power with the amount of fuel and air it is given. This is how engine manufactures can rate the same same engine at different horsepower by using different carburetion.
