Tecumseh 5.5HP

I have a 5.5Hp OHV engine with a horizontal shaft on my woodsplitter. How much oil does the crankcase hold? I want to change the oil and I have no manual.

OHH55 Oil Capacity

ALL OHH engines (50, 55, 60, 65, 70) takes 21
ounces to fill the crankcase.

Engine Won't Start

I own a MTD 18HP Briggs and Straton riding lawn mower.This engine has no points or electronic ignition. The battery is good it turns the engine over real fast but I have no fire. How do I check the magneto and the coil to see if they are good or not??? Do you guys have any ideas and am I missing something that needs to be checked? Thanx for your help BubbaRead More

Honda HS50 Drive Problem

Hello, I'm not well versed in the mechanical terms involved, but I can try to explain a problem I'm seeing with my Honda HS50 snowblower. Hopefully someone will understand and assist me in the repair. I've taken a picture of the area of concern that you can view at [url]www.farfo.com/hs50.jpg[/url]. I've labeled 2 areas of the picture so it can be used as a reference. This unit has a drive mechanism that isn't working. When I squeeze the drive handle, I can see the belts tightening properly via that mechanism. There is a round metal plate/wheel (A) that begins to rotate and it looks like it should engage a rubber disk (B) that is in lock step with the tires . This rubber wheel moves across the round metal plate depending on the gear (1, 2, 3 or reverse) that is engaged. The problem is that the round metal wheelr (A) is not making proper contact with the black rubber disk (B) that drives the tires. I'm probably explaining the clutch but I don't really know. I can't see anywhere to adjust this so that they make proper contact. Any assistance would be appreciated. It's snowing here so hopefully I'll hear from someone soon! JohnRead More
