cold cranking amps
I have a b & s 400cc 11 hp and I need a battery. Does it matter how many cold cranking amps the battery i'm purchasing has? i'm using it in the spring and summer and want to start it up a couple times a month in the winter to keep a charge on it. I'm powering an older dynamark riding mower model 36/11-0400.Any input would be helpful. Thanks

If your starting and chargeing systems are in good working order you could get a low CCA. In my case I have found the lower CCA batterys have lasted as long as the higher CCA batterys. If you have a larger engine like 16 to 25 hp you may need the higher CCA.
