A guy brought a old chainsaw in to my shop to get it fixed. It will start and run until it gets warmed up and then it will quit. But after it sits for a while it will start again. Where should I start to look for the problem and can I still get parts for this saw? It is a Skilsaw model 1612c type4.

Check for a bad fuel cap...It may be developing a vacuum in the tank. Try loosening the cap when it begins to stall. It could also be running too lean, or developing a leak in the crankcase cover when the parts expand.
